Cancellation and Changes
If you change your mind within 30 days of receiving your order, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
If you change your mind before your items are dispatched, we will endeavour to issue a refund in full if possible.
If you decide to return items after dispatch, you must ship them back to us at your own expense. Please ensure you obtain proof of postage and insurance coverage to protect against loss or damage in transit.
Buyers are requested to use the original packing material and include a note of their order number so we can easily identify returns.
When returning an item, we will endeavour to issue a refund in full (not including postage) when the items have been inspected and confirmed to be the same condition as to how it was sent. Comicoin cannot be responsible for items that have been sent back to us that are not in the same condition as were originally sent. Buyers are suggested to make notes/photographs of the condition of the item(s) before sending them back to us. Comicoin will notify customers of an inadequate return, depending on the circumstances, the buyer will be; told to claim with the shipping company, offered a partial refund if possible and/or told their return cannot be accepted and will be returned to them at an additional cost.
Comic Grading and Standards
Our comics are direct from the official distributors. Once received by us from the distributor, all comics are immediately placed in acid-free polyethene bags and backboards.
Due to manufacturing processes, new comics may sometimes have minor imperfections, such as spine creasing, misprints, frayed corners, or ink smudging. These are considered 'industry-accepted faults' and do not qualify for returns or replacements. If you require comics in a specific grade, we recommend visiting our store in person.
Damages
If an item arrives damaged beyond industry-accepted faults, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with clear photos of the issue. We will assess the claim and, if approved, offer a replacement (if available) or a full refund upon the return of the item.
- Returns for damaged items must be pre-authorised before shipping them back.
- If a return is approved, Comicoin will cover return shipping costs.
- Items sent back without prior approval may not be eligible for a refund.
If the damage claim is denied due to the item's condition falling within industry-accepted manufacturing faults, we will notify you accordingly.
Loss / Non-Delivery
If your order has not arrived by the expected delivery date, please contact us as soon as possible. We kindly ask that customers allow up to 7 days beyond the estimated arrival date before requesting a refund or replacement.
- If an item is confirmed lost during shipping due to a carrier error, we will issue a refund or replacement (if available).
- Orders lost due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer are not eligible for a refund or replacement.
- If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, additional reshipping fees may apply if the customer wishes to have the item sent out again.
While we will do our best to assist with tracking delayed shipments, we cannot guarantee resolutions for delays caused by postal service issues outside our control.
Comicoins Programme
We offer a hybrid loyalty programme and store credit system called ‘Comicoins’. This store-only currency can be used for purchases both online and in-store. Comicoins can be obtained through purchases (excluding shipping), trade-ins, traditional payment top-ups, and as rewards for certain promotions and activities. While Comicoin accepts cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, as a form of payment, ‘Comicoins’ are not a cryptocurrency, cryptoasset, NFT, or anything similar.
Pre-Orders
Items available for pre-order are expected to be released on a future date. However, please note:
- Release dates, cover artwork, and product details are subject to change by the publisher or distributor.
- While we strive to fulfill all pre-orders, occasional delays, shortages, or unforeseen issues may occur.
- If an item becomes unavailable, we will notify you and provide alternative options or a refund.
Backorders
Backorders are items currently in stock with our distributors but not immediately available in our store. Items are typically available from our UK and/or US distributors, typically arriving within 2-3 weeks (10-15 business days). While we do our best to secure backordered items, shortages and availability may vary. If an item is unexpectedly unavailable, we will notify you and issue a refund or alternative options where possible.
